Where it all began

Mozzie Cozzie® was established in 2021 as a clothing company addressing people’s need for functional, fashionable, and sustainable products for holiday and travel.

Anna McFadyen, Mozzie Cozzie Founder

Meet Anna

- Our Founder

The Mozzie Cozzie® journey begins with our founder, Anna who saved up to travel as far as she could go. She went to New Zealand to become a volunteer teacher with a charity called Gap Activity Projects

New Zealand’s High Commission granted her a year long working visa. It was the year before becoming a geography student (KCL), studying sustainability in the very early 90’s.

She researched backpacker essentials checklists and left the UK, as a teenager with a ruck sack on her back.

Making Memories

On that journey Anna made many memories and learnt the secret of packing light travelling clothes.

In particular, she tried and tested versatile travel outfits.

For New Zealand’s microclimates, she sought out eco-friendly durable clothing, insect repellent clothing, and adaptive clothing.

Back then there was a real difference between travel clothes for men and women. Most travel clothing was also made of virgin plastic or itchy, heavy wool.

Responsible Travel

The return to London was slow purposeful travel. A small group of strangers, led by knowledgeable local guides, treading lightly and safely.

The responsible travel brand running that group is still here today (a registered B-Corp who focus on ethical, sustainable adventures, Intrepid Travel).

The companions all had something in common. They shared a love for exploring, contributing and spending more time outside.

70+ Countries

Anna built her career in tracking good products and exceptional customer service.

She scaled up a Mystery Guests Programme for the Hospitality & Travel Industry and went on to develop a knack for building global customer service communities and assets.

First offline and then online from 1996.

She saw first hand how and why industries need to address communities to properly serve and forecast human and environmental needs.

Having worked the day job from over 70 countries, our founder and veteran digital nomad realised she wanted to create Mozzie Cozzie®.

Our Mission

At Mozzie Cozzie® we support and encourage environmentally conscious and ethical lifestyles.

To be able to step outside, see the world and work from anywhere is a privilege.

To do so knowing that what we are wearing not only protects our skin, but also supports those making quality clothes that last, feels good.

Mozzie Cozzie is our banner of appreciation for the world around us all.

We champion good clothing choices and a responsible digital nomad lifestyle.

Mozzie Cozzie®, a British brand that is passionate about sustainability produced, responsible and functional products.

Our Ethos

We produce trailblazing garments that repel mosquitoes at the same time helping adventurous people feel comfortable on all their journeys.

Our hero product is our Jumpsuit that acts as a non-chemical barrier for mosquitoes. The garment has been designed as a recognisable clothing item that the wearer adapts when needed to prevent mosquito bites. High quality, durability, and conscious production are important aspects of Mozzie Cozzie® clothing. It dares to be as versatile as its wearer!

Our fabric is made from mono fibers called TENCEL™ Lyocell which are derived from the natural material wood. TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG. Lenzing was the first cellulosic fiber producer to set concrete scientifically verified Science Based Targets aiming for a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. TENCEL™ Lyocell febers are identifiable via tracing technology.

Mozzie Cozzie jumpsuits are currently offered in 5 different sizes and designed and manufactured locally and ethically in the UK. We are a body size and shape inclusive brand and offer size options for male and female body forms (including petite sizing). As we ‘grow up’ as a company, we pledge to continue our research (based on demand) for new and different sizing options.

We also care about how our hand-made product gets delivered. It takes 6-8 weeks time from start to finish and we don’t just leave it on your doorstep.
